Since it was officially affiliated in 1904 Teemore Shamrocks has grown to become an integral part of the life in the Parish of Knockninny and in particular, the village of Teemore and its inhabitants.
Throughout this time, at various stages in its existence the club has taken steps to strengthen its position within the community and prepare for the future. It purchased and opened a new field in 1946, the mountain road as it was known, after great efforts for a few years by its members at
the time to complete the work. Similarly in 1991 the current club grounds were opened again after massive efforts by club members to raise funds over a number of years , many of whom are still taking an active part in club life today. The notable thing about these two major events in our club’s history was the role of, and the necessity for all club members and the wider community to take an active role in securing the outcome needed.
We have now reached another juncture in our club’s history where we are about to embark on the next major phase
in the development of our grounds. As a rural club we are very lucky to have the playing numbers and membership we currently have. Many new families have set up roots in the area in recent years and the local school populations are booming. It is with this in mind we are hoping to update our club infrastructure to provide all members, but especially our children, and grandchildren with facilities that will allow them to enjoy and excel for years to come.
This document will introduce what we are hoping to do and how we are hoping to do it but as history has taught us,
we will not achieve our aims without the Teemore community getting behind the venture. It is a privilege to introduce the Cairde an Tí Mhóir scheme to you and as an executive we can only ask that you take time to study the document, appreciate all that has been achieved over the years and hopefully join us in securing our vision for the future of Teemore Shamrocks.

Ciarán Ó Brádaigh
